Sunday. The Semi-Family Day
September 27th, 2011 § Leave a Comment
That Sunday (18 September 2011) when I didn’t bring my camera. So I used my brother’s phone—a Samsung Galaxy S—to take photos.
Two weeks ago, my brother and I visited our mom in Makati. Somewhat the same thing happened as last weekend. So I’ll just post pictures
Sept 25: DAY OFF!
September 25th, 2011 § Leave a Comment
Last Friday was really stressful. I was supposed to watch my friends’ play, Black Prom, but then our Women’s Week (XX) play TDR encountered crazy problems got cancelled which we won’t be showing anymore which made it impossible for me to leave and watch the play. The crazy problems gave rise to even crazier problems. I swear, it’s just.. never mind. But I don’t regret anything about being in XX. There are so many awesome people there, and I’m glad I got to be with those people.
Anyway, moving on. So yesterday (Saturday), my brother and I met up with our mom in Makati since it’s going to be her last day here in Manila. She left early this morning.
Saturday morning, I woke up feeling really tired despite the seven-hour sleep (the longest I’ve gotten in two weeks!). I woke up thinking of the many things I have to fix and all the catching up I have to do with my academic life. But since I already had plans of going out, I decided to just be out the whole day. I haven’t had a stress-free day in so many weeks so I put everything aside (for real) and just decided to enjoy my Saturday.

When Justin and I arrived in Greenbelt 5, mom was still busy doing work things so we just went around. We stumbled upon the Lego exhibit thing
)
Here are more pictures:
I really needed time out from everything. So yes, all out on these goodies.
Oh gosh a few more photos. Haha I get lazy typing so I’ll just throw in lots of photos
)

Found this really pretty clock From a shop in front of Sinfully. I forgot the name of the shop though
They had lots of cool things inside. It's like a more expensive Cubao Expo
)
Bizu time! We all had brunch already before we all met up in Greenbelt but we still decided to eat. Mom was all quiet and tired-looking since she just came from a test from her training thing for work. Hah! Now you know how I feel… everyday.

After Bizu, mom and I had coffee at Starbucks. We always have coffee after our meals. This is our bisyo
Then me, mommy and Justin went around Fully Booked while waiting for Berto. Mom paid for my new pencils and drawing ink and calligraphy stuff! ♥
Berto then picked us up and we all went to Rockwell to check out the exhibit of a contest I joined (I got in the Top 14! Yay!) and then went around some more to look for shoes for my sister, Hanna. Then we went to Bacolod Chicken Inasal for dinner after!

Thank you for joining us even though you came from duty and just had three hours of sleep. You are the sweetest boy ever

And oh! I got a new case for my BB! Thanks again, mom!! (I snuck it in when my mom was paying for her BB Playbook and BB phone leather case. LOLJK) This case is really for the Torch but then it's just too cute and it fits just fine so I got it
It doesn't lock though but, oh well.
Then we dropped off mom to her hotel then Justin to our condo and Berto and I went to the ID party! Thank you, Bertots, for insisting on going with me even though you were really tired and you needed to wake up early next day for your 6am class/lecture. I can’t even… whatever. You’re the best
Cafe Breton Date

Cafe Breton, Ayala Technohub
So we had a date last night just to de-stress. I missed this boy </3 We’ve been both so busy lately and stress has been turning me into a monster. I can’t wait for this semester to be over! I’m definitely hitting the beach this sembreak (I hope I can have a beach trip with this pretty boy too)!
We walked around the place after. I was feeling a bit down that night though. Too much stress from org work. It’s even affecting my health, no kidding. I don’t know how I’m going to handle things. Every day, I’m thinking of how to make things work. I’m always stressed. There are times when I feel like quitting everything (not talking about suicide, k). But I know so many people will be disappointed if I do quit. Ugh. I need to be better at things
Fourth Monthsary Dinner
August 7th, 2011 § Leave a Comment
We’ve never celebrated a “monthsary” before this. There’s nothing wrong with it, except that I don’t like how frequent the celebration is for me if we do it monthly, which is, the exact point of it. But after four months of being official, and after all that tiring school work and all other things that got us missing each other (sorry for the extra cheese right there), we decided to have a little dinner. Just the two of us. We went around Serendra for a while, and decided to eat in this Spanish restaurant called Gaudi.

I wore a dress my mom picked out from Promod. It's a really cute casual dress. I'll post a photo of it some time.
Before dinner, I had merienda with my college barkada as a surprise thing for Bardo, so I wasn’t really craving for anything in particular since my stomach was still too full to crave for anything. So I left the ordering to Berto. He ordered pasta and a lamb dish. It was a little too much for my stomach. I guess I ate a little too much of Gine’s pasta from merienda. But I still enjoyed the food. I liked the pasta! I like pastas a lot.
We then walked around after dinner to burn off what we ate. And ate again.
We’ve been dating for.. a little more than two years already! :O But I really think that making things “official” still makes a lot of difference. It’s not just a territorial or ownership thing. I think there’s power in names (or labels). It moves you to commit to something even more. We’ve been through a lot, and it’s really nice thinking how we survived all that (and still ending up being together). He’s one of the few who get to suffer the wrath of my meaner version, but he’s still with me after all the bullying. (Haha, kidding! I’m not that mean!) But really, I feel like a princess every time I’m with him. Thank you, Bertots. I love you ♥
With the Relatives

Last weekend was a good break for me. I’ve been working on org and academics (well, more on org stuff) since the start of the semester and most of the time, my laptop was all that I had for a friend, study-mate, entertainment.. and everything else. Last 20 July, two relatives from London arrived, and mom was also in the city for work-related things. So we had a little dinner thing (with other relatives in the city +my boyfriend). Justin and I went to Shangri-la early since we finished early in school. We were the first to arrive.
We went around for a while. We looked at toys from hobby shops to toy stores until we settled in Build City and played with Lego blocks.

It was supposed to be a horse. In my defense, they didn't have enough brown Legos! Also, I decided it to be a duck after a while so I attached an orange Lego block in front to serve as its bill.
After a little more than an hour of playing with Lego blocks, mom arrived so we looked for a place to eat. I wanted Japanese (as always), but nobody seems to have the same love for Jap as me. So we settled with Penang Hill for Modern Asian Cuisine.
Some of the stuff we had for dinner:
After dinner, we went to Starbucks in Metrowalk for coffee. Our family has this love affair going on with coffee. My mom drinks an average of four cups every day.
And that concluded the foreshadowing of the awesome weekend that came after. We had dinner Friday night then we went to Tagaytay last Saturday for a little bonding time.
Photos from Friday night’s dinner at Chelsea’s (The Podium):

Fish & chips. A lot of people found this really good. I had a cold (and I still have it) that time so I couldn't really taste it

The restaurant has a great view. But the fog was really heavy when we arrived so we didn't get to see anything.
What we ate:

Our aunt brought these very sweet stuff (I don't know what it's called though). Pistachios and all those fancy stuff. Not my cup of tea. Too sweet.
Okay. That was a lot. I’m super looking forward to this coming long weekend! I’ll be going back home with my brother. We’ll be back on August 1. We’ll be seeing Shadow, our family’s new puppy, for the very first time! I can’t wait! And of course, I can’t wait to see the rest of my family too

Who you really are is not accessible to everyone.

So I will instead try to give you full access to how I see myself.
* I like to design stuff. Logos, promotional posters for events or whatever organization, random things. As long as I can experiment with it, then I’ll work on it.
* I really like doing artsy things. If only God gave me backup to that desire. I love sketching and painting.. but it refuses to make me produce something pleasing with it.
* I listen to (mostly) sexy r&b music. And Anberlin. And a little of everything else. Oh, I love trippy folk/electro-ish music too!
* It’s a little hard for me to be entertaining without being green.
* Although I hate it most of the time, I can’t help but be so fcking conscious of my weight. I guess it has something to do with me wanting to please everyone so much (including myself).
* I am a very insecure person. There was a time in high school that I’d just cross my arms—thinking that it would shrink the space I take up in the universe—whenever I walked around the mall alone.
* I’m a minimalist. (I will repeat that whenever I can. Suck it.)
* I like deep conversations. I can easily connect with people (well, one by one, of course). I find it a little difficult being a people person (what I’m trying to say here is that, I can’t really be as entertaining and fun in a group as I am with just one person). But I’m trying to.
* I like matcha green tea. Coffee Bean is better than Starbucks.
